Ripple has received conditional approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to launch Ripple National Trust Bank. CEO Brad Garlinghouse highlighted the move as a key step in bringing RLUSD under stablecoin regulation. He also criticized banking lobbyists for resisting crypto oversight, including Countering the Financing of Terrorism efforts. Ripple is also seeking a national bank charter and a Fed account to access core U.S. payment systems. Analysts say the move could boost XRP’s role in cross-border transactions.
