The institutional stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD) ranks first globally in short-term growth within the DeFi space. Over the past seven days, its trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) increased by $199.4 million.
According to data from the analytics platform Token Terminal, this asset outperformed its closest competitor, the USDG token, which recorded only $97.6 million in weekly inflows during the same period—a difference of more than two times.
How to achieve twice the results of your competitors in one week
This concentrated inflow of liquidity directly stems from readily available B2B infrastructure deployments targeting large capital. While retail markets chase speculative gains, institutional participants more pragmatically bet on strict compliance by choosing Ripple’s digital dollar. This stablecoin is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and fully backed by U.S. Treasury securities.
New decentralized trading volume stems from a series of technology integrations: the token was rapidly added to a Uniswap V4 dedicated liquidity pool designed for large-scale arbitrage, connected via the Squid protocol to over 100 blockchains for cross-chain interoperability, and launched on the Swiss platform Arf.
The final step enables licensed payment companies to use RLUSD for instant cross-border settlements, fully resolving a long-standing challenge in fintech: the prolonged freezing of active funds in correspondent bank accounts.
Under this context, the latest data from the RWA.xyz analytics dashboard highlights a unique structural paradox. By net market capitalization, RLUSD has reached $2.401976892 billion, ranking 8th among global stablecoins and nearing PayPal’s similar project, which has a market cap of $3.01 billion.

Overall, this week’s surge in trading volume clearly demonstrates that a niche tool, with the right legal framework, can serve as a key bridge between traditional banking and decentralized markets.
Success!
