As reported by 528btc, Ripple has released rippled v3.0.0, a major update to the XRP Ledger core server software. The update includes dozens of bug fixes, performance improvements, and code refactoring, affecting consensus mechanisms, ledger processing, and peer connections. It introduces a protocol revision to fix a missing key field and lays the groundwork for future lending functionality. Prior to this, Ripple released v2.6.2 in late November, which fixed a critical batch transaction error and enabled the 'smart hold' feature. Following a recent 400% surge, the XRP Ledger's daily payment volume has stabilized between 600,000 and 900,000 tokens.
