Ripple has made a partnership announcement with Privy, a Stripe-owned wallet tech firm, to integrate XRPL wallets for developers. The integration supports XRP, RLUSD, and other assets, allowing in-app wallet creation and transaction management. Users can export private keys and recovery phrases. The collaboration aims to boost stablecoin payments, fintech tools, and agentic commerce on XRPL, using the network’s low fees and fast settlement. Privy CEO Henri Stern said the move targets cross-border payments and AI-driven commerce, with transaction controls planned for developers. The partnership announcement aligns with ongoing network upgrade efforts to expand XRPL’s utility.

Ripple has partnered with Privy, a Stripe-owned wallet technology provider, to help developers integrate crypto wallets into applications built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

The integration will support XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and other network assets. Developers can create wallets and manage transactions within their applications, while users retain the ability to export their private keys and recovery phrases.

XRPL Wallets Target Payments and AI Commerce

RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger said the partnership would help developers build payment services and stablecoin applications on XRPL. He also cited the network’s low transaction costs and fast settlement as potential benefits.

The integration also supports application-managed wallets for AI agents that hold funds and make payments. Developers can use x402, a protocol that enables software to pay for online services, to support automated transactions.

Privy Plans More Developer Controls

Privy CEO Henri Stern said the integration is designed for cross-border payments and AI-driven commerce. The company also plans to introduce transaction controls that let developers establish payment rules and sponsor network fees.

These features could give developers more control over how applications handle transactions while reducing the costs users face when making payments.

Stripe acquired Privy in 2025, although the wallet provider continues to operate as a separate business.
