Ripple has joined forces with SettleMint to boost digital asset news coverage and institutional adoption in the Asia-Pacific. The new solution combines Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform for custody, compliance, and settlement. The service is now live, with expansion plans in the works. Digital collectibles news is also gaining traction as the platform supports broader asset types.

Key Insights:

  • Ripple and SettleMint launched a joint solution to help institutions manage digital assets across Asia Pacific.
  • Bitwise’s XRP ETF held 365.35 million XRP worth $507.23 million as of August 30, 2026.
  • XRP price target is $1.70, but the token needs to reclaim $1.60 first.

Ripple news has shifted toward institutional digital-asset infrastructure after the company announced a new partnership with SettleMint on Sept. 1.

The agreement integrates Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform, or DALP, giving regulated financial institutions a connected system for custody, issuance, compliance, settlement, and servicing. The companies said they have already started offering the solution in Asia and plan to expand into additional markets as institutional demand develops.

The announcement comes as regulated XRP investment products continue growing in the United States. Bitwise’s XRP ETF held more than $500 million in assets by the end of August, while XRP itself traded near $1.37 after retreating from its recent $1.70 high.

Ripple News: SettleMint Integrates With Ripple Custody

Ripple Custody provides institutional infrastructure for securing digital assets, stablecoins, and tokenized real-world assets. Ripple has expanded the custody platform through integrations with Securosys, Figment, and Chainalysis, along with its acquisition of Palisade.

SettleMint’s DALP allows financial institutions to create, issue, and manage tokenized assets throughout their lifecycle. The platform also provides compliance and permissioning controls for regulated institutions. SettleMint said institutions already use DALP in production and pre-production programs across several regions, including Asia Pacific.

The Ripple news will enable institutions to use a single connected system for custody and digital asset lifecycle management. Financial firms can manage issuance, compliance, custody, settlement, and servicing without relying on separate systems. Ripple and SettleMint have started offering the combined solution in Asia and plan to expand into additional markets.

XRP Price Key Levels to Watch After August Rally

XRP price traded near $1.37 on September 1 after retreating from the $1.70 area reached during its August rally. The token currently faces support at $1.30-$1.35. A break below that range could expose the next support near $1.27.

Resistance remains between $1.50 and $1.60. XRP would need to recover that zone and hold above it before another move toward $1.70 gains technical confirmation. Analyst Ali Martinez has identified $1.70 as the next target after XRP crypto cleared previous resistance.

Market indicators also show weaker short-term momentum. An analyst noted that XRP crypto weekly MACD is recovering from deeply negative levels, with the histogram turning green. The analyst compared the setup with late 2024, when XRP’s momentum recovery preceded a major price rally.

XRP is now showing improving momentum while the MACD remains well below the zero line. The analyst believes this could leave more room for the current momentum cycle to expand if the recovery continues.

Bitwise XRP ETF Holds More Than $500 Million

Meanwhile, Bitwise XRP ETF held about 365.35 million XRP worth $507.23 million as of August 30, according to the fund’s official data. The fund had 32.71 million shares outstanding and charged a 0.34% expense ratio.

The ETF held 286.84 million XRP worth $299.15 million on June 30. Its holdings therefore, increased by about 78.5 million XRP by August 30. Share creations can require additional XRP, while changes in XRP’s market price can also alter the fund’s total asset value.

Bitwise reported that investors added about 181.53 million XRP through share creations during the first half of 2026. Redemptions removed around 25.61 million XRP during the same period. The fund continues to provide a regulated investment route for investors seeking XRP exposure.

Ripple Expands Institutional Digital Asset Services

The Ripple-SettleMint partnership comes as financial institutions increase their focus on tokenized assets and digital asset infrastructure. The combined platform targets banks, fintech firms, market infrastructure operators, and other regulated entities.

SettleMint said its platform supports tokenized real-world assets after issuance rather than focusing only on token creation. The system manages functions such as compliance, custody, settlement, and servicing through a governed framework.

The companies will initially focus on the Asia-Pacific market and expect to extend the offering to other regions as demand from financial institutions grows.
