Ripple launched the Japan Financial Infrastructure Innovation Program (JFIIP) to boost blockchain innovation in the region. The initiative, supported by Mizuho Bank and SMBC Nikko Securities, offers $10,000 to startups building compliant digital asset news solutions on the XRP Ledger. Projects include stablecoins and asset tokenization. Despite institutional backing, XRP’s total value locked has fallen nearly 50% from its July peak to $62 million.
