ChainCatcher reports that Ripple has integrated Privy’s wallet technology, owned by Stripe, into the XRP Ledger, enabling financial applications and AI agents to create accounts, hold crypto assets, and complete payments without requiring users to manage wallet software themselves. Developers can create wallets within their own products and authorize transfers involving XRP, Ripple’s USD-pegged stablecoin RLUSD, and other network assets. Privy handles the wallet infrastructure, reducing development workload, while also supporting private key or mnemonic export for wallet migration to other platforms. This integration allows AI agents or automated bots to hold funds and automatically pay for online data and services. According to Privy’s documentation, wallets operated by enterprise servers enable software to hold and spend funds, including accessing services such as data through the x402 payment standard. J. Ayo Akinyele, Head of Engineering at RippleX, stated that the network has processed over 13 million agent payments via x402, accounting for approximately 25% of ledger activity. Data from XRPL AI Hub, operated by payment infrastructure developer t54, shows over 14.3 million cumulative transactions as of Wednesday, spanning 169 registered merchants. However, the total transferred amount is significantly smaller than the transaction volume suggests: the dashboard records approximately 6,991 XRP and 12,752 RLUSD in cumulative payments, with most transactions being of very small value. Ripple began providing these tools to developers in June and expanded support in September to include payment standards developed by Stripe and the payment blockchain Tempo.

Ripple has integrated Stripe’s Privy wallet into the XRP Ledger, enabling developers to build AI and crypto news use cases such as automated payments and smart contracts. The integration allows server-run wallets for apps and AI agents to hold and spend XRP, RLUSD, and other assets without requiring user-managed keys. As of Wednesday, over 14.3 million transactions have occurred across 169 registered merchants, with increasing interest in real-world asset (RWA) news. Privy manages wallet infrastructure, supports key exports, and aligns with Tempo and Stripe’s payment standards. RippleX’s J. Ayo Akinyele noted that 13 million agent payments have been made via x402, accounting for 25% of ledger activity. While total transfer values remain modest, transaction volume is growing.
