Ripple and C2FO announced a new on-chain news initiative during Ripple Swell 2026 to speed up invoice payments using the XRP Ledger and RLUSD. The partnership aims to let suppliers get paid instantly instead of waiting days for bank transfers. C2FO’s Early Pay programs have historically handled over $250 billion in working capital. This crypto news update highlights the growing use of blockchain for real-time financial solutions.

Key takeaways

  • Ripple partners with C2FO to accelerate supplier payments
  • RLUSD will settle approved invoice financing on XRPL
  • C2FO has facilitated over $250 billion historically

Ripple has partnered with working-capital platform C2FO to bring invoice financing and settlement onto the XRP Ledger, potentially allowing suppliers to receive early payments in seconds instead of waiting days for traditional bank transfers.

The companies announced the initiative on October 27 during Ripple Swell 2026 in New York. C2FO's existing Early Pay programs have already facilitated more than $250 billion in working capital, giving the partnership access to an established commercial financing marketplace.

According to Ripple's announcement, the new C2FO Instant Pay service will use Ripple's dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin for settlement on XRPL. The product is not yet broadly available.

Ripple and C2FO Target Delays in Corporate Invoice Payments

Suppliers commonly wait 30, 60 or 90 days after delivering goods before their customers pay outstanding invoices.

C2FO already allows businesses to receive money earlier through financing arrangements involving participating capital providers. However, even approved early payments can face additional delays as funds move between banks.

Instant Pay aims to remove that second waiting period.

Under the proposed arrangement, suppliers will continue requesting early payment through C2FO's existing platform. Participating capital providers will fund approved payments, while RLUSD will handle settlement on the XRP Ledger.

The original invoice terms and payment due dates will remain unchanged.

C2FO's official product page currently accepts waitlist registrations and describes a limited rollout over the coming months.

That distinction matters because the companies have announced an integration model, not evidence of billions in completed blockchain payments.

The initiative follows Ripple's DriveWealth partnership, which similarly targets delays in transferring funds around conventional financial-market operations.

XRP Ledger Could Support a $250 Billion Financing Marketplace

C2FO's scale makes the announcement significant.

Its existing programs have facilitated more than $250 billion in cumulative working capital through accelerated payments against approved invoices.

However, that historical figure does not represent money already moved onto XRPL or a contractual commitment to use RLUSD.

Ripple says RLUSD has reached more than $2.5 billion in market capitalization, including over $1 billion issued on the XRP Ledger.

The network typically settles transactions in three to five seconds, although suppliers' actual receipt of spendable bank funds will also depend on payment conversion and distribution arrangements.

Ripple has already pursued similar institutional financing opportunities through Arf, which processes approximately $10 billion in annual payments.

Another initiative with Clearpool and Cicada targets loans to real businesses using RLUSD.

Together, these projects demonstrate Ripple's effort to expand stablecoin activity beyond cryptocurrency trading.

Could Invoice Financing Increase Demand for XRP?

The C2FO announcement also connects with Ripple's expanded institutional relationship with BNY.

The bank and Ripple are exploring tokenized trade finance involving approved receivables, potentially allowing investors to finance and manage business obligations through blockchain infrastructure.

That broader ambition differs from the Instant Pay product, which specifically targets faster settlement of existing early-payment arrangements.

The partnership follows Ripple's corporate treasury expansion and recent tokenization work with Aviva.
