Rillet, an AI-native accounting platform, hit a $1B valuation after a $100M Series C round. Project funding news shows ICONIQ led the round, with Sequoia and a16z also participating. This is Rillet’s third raise in a year, totaling over $200M. The platform automates financial workflows using AI agents and connects with Stripe, Ramp, and Salesforce. AI + crypto news highlights Rillet’s focus on startups beyond basic tools but not ready for ERP systems.

Two years old. One billion dollars. Those numbers describe Rillet, an AI-native accounting platform that just closed a $100 million Series C round at a $1B valuation, adding its name to the growing list of enterprise software startups that have quietly become unicorns while the rest of the market was watching crypto and consumer AI.

The round was led by ICONIQ, with returning investors Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Oak HC/FT writing more checks alongside new backers including Bain Capital Ventures, Battery Ventures, FirstMark, Scale Venture Partners, and Creandum. ICONIQ general partner Seth Pierrepont, who was already on the board, stays put.

Three rounds in about twelve months

This is Rillet’s third fundraise in roughly a year, a cadence that signals something beyond early-stage momentum. The company previously raised a $25 million Series A led by Sequoia, then a $70 million Series B in August 2025. Total funding now sits north of $200 million.

The company was founded by Nicolas Kopp, who previously ran US operations at German digital bank N26. That background matters: N26 was one of the more ambitious neobank bets of the last decade, and running its American expansion meant navigating a genuinely complex regulatory and financial infrastructure environment.

Rillet’s pitch is built around that knowledge. The platform targets venture-backed startups in the Series A-to-D range, specifically companies that have outgrown spreadsheets and QuickBooks but are not yet ready for the configuration hell of legacy ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP.

What Rillet actually does

The core product is a real-time general ledger with automated workflows powered by what Rillet calls Aura AI agents. In plain terms: instead of finance teams manually reconciling transactions and updating records, the system handles the routine work automatically, flagging exceptions and surfacing anomalies rather than just recording them after the fact.

The integrations tell the targeting story clearly. Rillet connects natively with Stripe for revenue data, Ramp for expense management, and Salesforce for CRM and deal flow.

On G2, the crowdsourced business software review platform, Rillet holds a five-star rating, which the company says makes it the only ERP to achieve that distinction on the platform.

What a $1B valuation means for the competitive landscape

A billion-dollar valuation at the Series C is a statement. It tells the market that Rillet’s backers believe the company is on a trajectory to compete seriously with platforms that have decades of customer relationships and deeply embedded workflows.

The timing matters. The cohort of venture-backed startups founded between 2018 and 2023 is now entering the growth stage where financial operations become genuinely complex. Revenue recognition across multiple product lines, multi-entity consolidation, audit readiness: these are problems that emerge around Series B and C, exactly when Rillet is positioned to be the solution a company reaches for before defaulting to an incumbent.
