ChainCatcher report: RetoSwap, a peer-to-peer multisig DEX built on the Tor network, tweeted that its upstream open-source project, Haveno’s trading protocol, was compromised by a hacker. Subsequently, RetoSwap blocked the attacker’s onion address and suspended trading via client version restrictions; the RetoSwap team itself was not directly attacked. The impact of this incident primarily affected large-scale cryptocurrency transactions, with fiat counterparties remaining unaffected. The team is currently evaluating options to assist affected users in recovering their funds. Additionally, according to PeckShield monitoring, RetoSwap users lost approximately 7,000 XMR (around $2.7 million) during this attack. It is noted that RetoSwap is a fork of Haveno.
