Award-winning OMVI X16 PoE combines a panoramic view, long-range 4K zoom, and 360-degree infinite rotation—no subscription required.
Los Angeles, November 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global smart home security brand Reolink today launched the award-winning OMVI X16 PoE, the flagship product of its OMVI series. Designed for larger properties and high-security environments, the product delivers crisp details at a distance while maintaining a full panoramic view.
The OMVI X16 PoE delivers enhanced performance with a three-lens system totaling 24MP: a 16-megapixel dual-lens panoramic bullet camera that stitches two images into a single 180-degree ultra-wide-angle view, alongside a 4K (8-megapixel) PTZ zoom camera with 16x optical zoom. The PTZ camera supports 360-degree high-speed continuous rotation and 95-degree vertical tilt, enabling broader coverage and intuitive tracking.
Annie Potter, Head of Marketing for Reolink North America, said: “In the security field, seeing the big picture is just as important as seeing the details. The OMVI X16 PoE combines both capabilities to provide homes and businesses with greater visibility and stronger control over their surroundings. Plus, with local storage support and no mandatory subscription fees, users have more control over their security and recordings.”
The main features of the OMVI X16 PoE include:
- Full coverage: A 16-megapixel dual-lens panoramic camera provides a continuous 180-degree field of view.
- True 16x optical zoom: The 5.3mm to 86mm F1.6 zoom lens enables up to 16x zoom while maintaining 4K resolution, making it easier to identify faces and license plates at a distance.
- Infinite 360-degree rotation and wide tilt range: With 360-degree high-speed infinite rotation and a 95-degree tilt, users can effortlessly track any activity around the property without mechanical limits.
Tracking and Control
- SyncTrack with optical zoom: When the panoramic camera detects a person, vehicle, or animal, the PTZ lens automatically locks onto and follows the target—even if it moves out of the panoramic field of view. During tracking, optical zoom continuously magnifies the target while keeping it centered.
- Precise targeting and continuous panning: Tap or touch any location on the dual-screen display, and the gimbal camera will instantly turn to that spot for a closer view. A single tap initiates a continuous 360° rotation, which stops with another tap, making it easy to quickly survey your surroundings.
- Presets and Patrol Routes: Users can save up to 64 presets and set a patrol route with up to 16 points, customizing dwell time, pan-tilt speed, and schedules. Auto-tracking can be activated each time the camera pauses at a patrol point.
Onboard AI
- Person and object detection: Onboard AI identifies people, vehicles, and animals, enabling alerts to focus on truly important activities.
- Local AI video search: Users can simply enter natural language descriptions such as “black van” or “person wearing a hat” to find matching clips from recorded events, without having to manually review footage—and there are no additional charges.
- Perimeter Protection: On the panoramic view, alerts for line crossing, area intrusion, and loitering will notify users when someone crosses a set boundary, enters a designated area, or remains too long.
Designed for round-the-clock protection
- Day and night visibility: Built-in illuminators enable full-color night vision on a schedule, while also supporting infrared night vision.
- Two-way audio and flexible installation: Users can communicate with the camera through the app, and the IP66-rated weatherproof metal housing supports wall, ceiling, and corner mounting.
