IT Home, October 12 news: Taiwanese media Business Daily reported today that Qualcomm has increased the shipment price of its Snapdragon X/X2 Elite PC processors by 10% starting this month.
The report noted that Intel had previously raised prices for multiple series of PC processors in September this year, with the integrated graphics version of "Panther Lake" seeing the steepest increase of 15% to 20%; "Meteor Lake" and "Arrow Lake" increased by 5% to 10%; and "Alder Lake" (likely referring to "Alder Lake N" in this case) and "Twin Lake" also saw price hikes of 10% to 20%.
On the other hand, AMD is also preparing to adjust prices for some processors, though the specific increases, scope, and effective dates have not yet been confirmed.

PC processor manufacturers are facing cost pressures on multiple fronts: wafer fabrication quotes continue to rise, while the prices of components required to assemble chips into usable processors are also increasing.
