The next phase of the case will gradually shift focus to evidence and asset tracing, with the substantive evidentiary review expected to begin after October this year. The court will examine: 1. How the RMB investment funds entered Lan Tian Ge Rui and related accounts; 2. How the funds were aggregated, transferred, and converted; 3. Which funds can be demonstrably linked to the bitcoins seized in the UK; 4. The losses, recoveries, and existing compensations of each applicant; 5. The specific property relationships between individual investors, Lan Tian Ge Rui, and the bitcoins involved in the case. Analysis suggests that after the court determines the applicable law in July this year, the case will gradually transition from “which law applies” to “whether the evidence can prove ownership rights.”
