Pump.fun co-founder Alon announced the launch of Pump Bridge, a self-developed cross-chain solution. On-chain data shows the new bridge reduces error rates by 92% and doubles transaction speed. On-chain analysis of 416,669 transactions from September 28 to October 7 confirms the improvement. While FOMO still uses Relay, Pump Bridge is now free for all Pump.fun users.

ChainCatcher report: Alon, co-founder and COO of the meme coin launch platform Pump.fun, posted that the team had long focused exclusively on the launchpad and only began supporting cross-chain swaps about five months ago. After investigating the cross-chain service provider Relay, he found that over one-ninth of cross-chain purchases on Relay experienced errors, with typical purchase settlement times approaching 4 seconds, and one-tenth exceeding 7 seconds; users also typically received fewer tokens than they should have. He noted that the social trading app FOMO still relies on Relay. Alon stated that Pump.fun’s in-house cross-chain bridge, Pump Bridge, is now fully available to all users. Compared to Relay, purchase settlement speed has improved by two times, error rates have dropped by 92%—from over one-ninth to less than one percent—and users receive more tokens for the same amount of funds, with no additional cross-chain fees charged. He added that, constrained by the speed of light and target chain confirmation times, the theoretical minimum settlement time is approximately 1.1 seconds, and the team continues to narrow the remaining gap. These comparisons are based on randomized tests conducted between September 28 and October 7 within the Pump.fun mobile app, covering Robinhood, BSC, Base, Arc, and Ink—excluding Ethereum—and encompassed 416,669 transaction results. Of these, 383,326 transactions recorded the time from click to successful confirmation, while an additional 35,333 completed USDC purchases under $500 were used for comparison of execution performance. Alon also noted that the platform fee rate is 0.45%, with Callout rewards totaling at least $300,000 daily and approximately $20 million over two months; the platform retains none of the platform fees.
