Poland’s Sejm passed the Crypto-Asset Market Act, reviving a bill vetoed by President Karol Nawrocki. The law, approved by 241 lawmakers, will now go to the Senate. It aims to align with EU’s MiCA but grants broad powers to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. The government argues the bill is essential for Countering the Financing of Terrorism and maintaining stability in liquidity and crypto markets. President Nawrocki had objected to the bill’s ambiguity and high compliance costs.
