Derived from Bitjie, Pi Network has announced its participation in the ISO 20022 standardization initiative, positioning itself to compete with blockchain payment leaders Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM). The global ISO 20022 standard, set to fully replace SWIFT MT by November 22, 2025, will require all cross-border payments to comply with the new messaging format. Ripple and Stellar have already integrated with the standard, while Pi Network aims to bridge digital assets and traditional banking. The project’s success will depend on its ability to meet the strict compliance and technical requirements of the global financial system.
