PeckShield reported a $27.3M loss after a whale’s multisig account was hacked due to a private key leak. The attacker laundered $12.6M (4,100 ETH) via TornadoCash and kept about $2M in liquid assets. The compromised account had a leveraged long position on Aave, using $25M in ETH as collateral to borrow $12.3M in DAI. Traders should consider a stop loss strategy to protect against similar risks, especially in volatile markets where value investing in crypto requires strong security and risk management.
