According to Coinotag, PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin has grown to a market capitalization of $3.8 billion by Q4 2025, up from $1.2 billion in September. The growth was driven by a 113% supply increase in November and a 150% rise in transactions to 1.8 million. Integration with LayerZero expanded PYUSD to nine blockchains, including Avalanche, Tron, and Flow, enabling access for over 400 million PayPal and Venmo users. However, the stablecoin’s 3.7% yield has raised regulatory concerns under the GENIUS Act, which prohibits yield-bearing stablecoins.
