BlockBeats report: On March 11, Osmosis released a major governance proposal for the Cosmos ecosystem, aiming to directly integrate Osmosis into the Cosmos Hub, with the Osmosis DEX natively migrating to the Hub to unify liquidity, governance, and security on a single chain. All circulating OSMO, except for those not yet deployed in Osmosis community pools, will be eligible for conversion to ATOM within a designated six-month window. The proposed conversion rate is 0.0355 ATOM for every 1.998 OSMO.
The Cosmos Hub community pool currently holds approximately 10.11 million ATOM, with an additional remaining exposure of about 1.75 million ATOM, representing roughly 0.35% of the total supply—equivalent to less than two weeks of staking emissions. This proposal does not introduce any ongoing emissions or structural inflation changes. The conversion window will remain open for six months. Any unclaimed ATOM at the end of this period will be returned to the Cosmos Hub community pool.
