According to ME News, on August 27 (UTC+8), Eugene Cheung, Chief Business Officer of OSL Group, stated at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 Hong Kong panel discussion “Web3 x AI: The New Frontier — A Blueprint for the Evolution of Decentralized Intelligence” that AI agents can automatically perform a large volume of financial tasks at low cost, but they cannot assume responsibility for transaction errors or asset losses. Therefore, before widespread adoption in payments, investments, and trading, clear accountability frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk control mechanisms must be established. He also noted that stablecoins and low-latency blockchains are poised to become critical infrastructure for AI agents conducting financial activities; as autonomous economic activity by agents increases, their use of stablecoins for payments and settlements is likely to grow significantly.(Source: ME News)
