ChainCatcher report: On November 4, on-chain transaction infrastructure provider Orbs announced a strategic investment in CRYMBO. CRYMBO is a financial infrastructure platform designed for licensed institutions, enabling banks, payment service providers, and brokers to launch digital asset services under their own brands and within regulatory frameworks. The announcement states that for institutions entering the on-chain market, beyond liquidity and blockchain technology, they must address identity verification, compliance, custody, settlement, payments, and reconciliation. CRYMBO connects institutions to over 75 service providers through a single integration, covering custody, liquidity, banking channels, payments, identity verification, and transaction monitoring. Institutions can orchestrate these services within customized workflows while retaining full control over provider selection. The platform does not hold client funds or private keys; institutions operate under their own brands and licenses. The company states that its platform has already served licensed institutions with cumulative transaction volumes exceeding $2 billion. The infrastructure is ISO 27001 certified and built in compliance with the EU’s MiCA regulations and the Financial Action Task Force’s Travel Rule. Orbs CEO Ran Hammer said: “Institutional adoption of on-chain finance depends on infrastructure that aligns with the realities of regulated financial services. Orbs focuses on trading and execution, while CRYMBO delivers the compliance, identity, and operational layers institutions require.” Orbs provides dSPOT spot trading, dPERPS perpetual contracts, and on-chain execution services via its own Layer 3 network, with cumulative executed transaction volumes exceeding $14 billion. CRYMBO founder and CEO Eyal Daskal said: “This partnership will help both companies expand their businesses and reach more clients.”
