Las Vegas, October 27 /PRNewswire/ — At Oracle AI World, Oracle announced with Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW) that the Snowflake AI Data Cloud will be offered as a native first-party service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), further expanding Oracle’s AI and data capabilities designed to help businesses accelerate their AI initiatives.
Oracle stated that by integrating Snowflake into its portfolio of infrastructure, AI, data, and application services, the company will provide customers with greater flexibility to leverage enterprise data and drive AI-powered innovation. Customers will be able to purchase and provision the service directly through Oracle, benefiting from simplified pricing and billing, while also being able to use Oracle Universal Credits.
Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk said, "Enterprises are seeking faster, simpler ways to leverage AI to turn enterprise data into business value. By making Snowflake available as a native service on OCI, we are giving our customers more choices for AI and data capabilities, while simplifying how they deploy, manage, and pay for these services. This is another way Oracle is helping customers accelerate their AI initiatives and turn innovation into measurable business outcomes."
Oracle states that the company helps organizations unlock the value of enterprise data through an integrated cloud infrastructure, AI, database, and enterprise applications portfolio. As critical business data is managed within Oracle AI Database, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle NetSuite, and other Oracle services, customers can leverage OCI’s expanding ecosystem of AI and data capabilities to support their business priorities. Offering Snowflake as a native OCI service will further extend Oracle’s ability to help customers accelerate enterprise AI initiatives and deliver business value faster.
Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said, “AI has significantly shortened the distance between enterprise data and real business value. Snowflake is thrilled to be a flagship AI data platform partner running within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, empowering our joint customers to transform their Oracle data assets into an AI-ready foundation with governance and security capabilities, enabling them to move forward at scale with confidence.”
Customers will be able to purchase, provision, and use Snowflake on OCI directly through Oracle. Oracle will handle pricing, discounts, and billing, providing a single commercial relationship for this service. Customers can also use Oracle Universal Credits to consume Snowflake on OCI, simplifying the procurement process and helping them leverage existing cloud commitments.
