Odaily Planet Daily reports that an OpenAI spokesperson revealed that OpenAI President Greg Brockman is expected to announce an expansion of access to the company’s AI tools for critical infrastructure and public sector organizations. The spokesperson said Brockman will make the announcement at a cybersecurity summit being held at OpenAI’s headquarters on Thursday. Approximately 300 chief security officers and chief information security officers from Fortune 100 companies are expected to attend the summit.
This summit will focus on how enterprises, governments, and cybersecurity firms can equip defenders—such as critical infrastructure operators and public service agencies—with AI tools. This comes at a time when OpenAI is addressing security concerns surrounding its models, following the Hugging Face breach and as OpenAI’s upcoming Astra model reaches a “critical” level of cybersecurity capability.
