OpenAI's Astra Demonstrates AGI-Like Capabilities in Private Demonstration
KuCoinFlashShare
The announcement of OpenAI's Astra project revealed AGI-like capabilities during a private demonstration in San Francisco. Sixteen AI agents collaboratively solved a research-level math problem by dividing tasks and coordinating solutions. Astra also operated at high speed across desktop software, autonomously creating and editing content. CEO Sam Altman described it as a "persistent agent" with the capabilities of an "AI research intern," able to run experiments and analyze papers. He suggested Astra could be the first model to generate entirely new ideas, drawing parallels to artificial general intelligence. The project announcement has injected fresh momentum into the AI + crypto narrative.
