ChainThink reports that on August 17, according to an interview with CNBC, OpenAI co-founder and president Greg Brockman responded to the company's executive turnover, saying this round of departures "isn't that unusual," and that external attention amplifies every personnel change.
Brockman said that OpenAI’s distinction from other organizations is that it is “too watched,” so every departure is scrutinized in ways that wouldn’t happen at other companies. He also stated that he and Sam Altman are the stable core of the company.
OpenAI has recently seen frequent leadership changes. Denise Dresser, the head of revenue, left after eight months; Brad Lightcap, who had been with the company for eight years, has also announced his departure.
OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic, former COO of Wiz, as Chief Revenue Officer. Wiz was previously acquired by Google for $32 billion.
