ME News reports that on August 29 (UTC+8), Beating AI reported that two weeks after SpaceX completed its $60 billion acquisition of Cursor, OpenAI announced the termination of its nearly four-year partnership with Cursor. New models will no longer be integrated into Cursor, and direct supply of existing models is scheduled to cease on November 12, 2026. The contract between the two parties permits OpenAI to terminate the agreement following Cursor’s acquisition. OpenAI nearly named Musk directly in its criticism, stating that after Musk acquired Twitter, Twitter violated its contract with OpenAI; this year, Musk admitted in court that xAI had improperly used OpenAI models. OpenAI concluded that SpaceX is not trustworthy and should not be entrusted with new models. (Source: BlockBeats)
