ChainThink reports that on August 17, according to NVIDIA's press release, OpenAI will build and operate an AI factory at PORTS-Pike using NVIDIA's full-stack DSX AI factory platform, encompassing GPUs, CPUs, networking, and infrastructure software.
The initial deployment is expected to provide 4.25 gigawatts of AI factory capacity.
NVIDIA states that each generation of the NVIDIA AI Factory system deployed in PORTS-Pike corresponds to approximately 1.5 million NVIDIA GPUs, representing roughly $100 billion to $200 billion in revenue.
The site supports multiple upgrade cycles, and NVIDIA may also extend the PORTS-Pike arrangement from the initial 4.25 gigawatts to accommodate the remaining 3.75 gigawatts of capacity.
OpenAI has committed to deploying NVIDIA AI infrastructure at scale before 2030. NVIDIA stated that OpenAI’s current and planned commitments account for approximately 12 gigawatts of NVIDIA computing capacity;
If the PORTS-Pike protocol is expanded, the total opportunity could increase to approximately 16 gigawatts, equivalent to about $600 billion in NVIDIA computing capacity by 2030.
