BlockBeats news, on October 10, in response to the incident involving approximately $90 million in assets stolen due to suspected tampering of Ledger devices sold through the CryptoBilis channel, OneKey founder Yishi posted that, as of October 10, OneKey had not received any related reports of damage.
After conducting an in-depth analysis of the attack vectors in the Ledger hardware supply chain compromise, OneKey announced the implementation of five improvements, including upgrading anti-counterfeiting packaging, introducing a screenless initialization process, and enhancing encryption of internal bus communications at both the firmware and hardware levels. Yishi hopes that manufacturers, researchers, and distribution partners will collaborate closely to carefully examine how devices reach users and how sensitive data is transmitted within the devices.
