Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ondo Finance, a tokenized real-world asset management company, says that current U.S. securities laws can support perpetual futures linked to individual stocks without the need for new regulations, by applying the existing securities futures framework.
On August 24, Ondo Finance submitted three comment letters to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), recommending the introduction of relevant products in the United States, along with modern margin mechanisms and on-chain market data.
Its Panamanian subsidiary has offered perpetual futures on U.S.-listed stocks settled in stablecoins outside the United States. As of August 14, after approximately six weeks on the platform, cumulative trading volume reached $8 billion. Ondo Finance manages and distributes tokenized real-world assets valued at approximately $2.6 billion, ranking fourth in the field. (Cointelegraph)
