Odaily Planet Daily report: NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced on X the launch of Alpamayo 2 Super, a cutting-edge open reasoning model designed for autonomous driving, stating that the next phase of AI development will expand from software intelligence into robotics, with autonomous vehicles serving as a key gateway to the robotics era.
Jensen Huang stated that Alpamayo 2 Super can not only "see" road environments but also understand and reason about complex scenarios, thinking before taking actions, making it a core AI model for autonomous taxis, driverless trucks, shuttles, delivery vehicles, agricultural robots, and future large-scale mobile robot systems.
It is reported that NVIDIA has made the model available for commercial use under the OpenMDW-1.1 license, allowing developers and enterprises to research, fine-tune, and deploy the model. Huang Renxun stated that open-sourcing the model helps enhance the safety and reliability of autonomous driving systems.
