Yuga Labs’ Blockchain Vice President Quit stated that attackers exploited a vulnerability in the Limit Break Payment Processor V2 to steal 10 Meebits, 50 Otherdeeds, 10 World of Women (WoW), and 235 Desperate ApeWives NFTs, after which it was discovered that a large number of NFTs were at risk from the same vulnerability. Quit and the Limit Break team subsequently launched a white-hat rescue operation, successfully securing and transferring 23,155 NFTs valued at over $5.7 million, all of which are now safely moved. Additionally, the team found that the vulnerability could also be exploited to steal WETH; 660 WETH were at risk, but these could not be recovered in time.
