ChainCatcher report, according to PR Newswire, NFT Limited (ticker: MI, formerly Takung Art), a U.S.-listed company on the New York Stock Exchange, unveiled the proposed RWAIX technical protocol in Hong Kong on October 13 and open-sourced its reference implementation under the MIT license on GitHub. The company, which operates an international online platform for art and collectibles, stated that the protocol enables buyers, sellers, AI agents, and bots to verify identities, confirm agreements, and validate whether delivery has actually occurred, with existing digital art platforms intended as the first real-world use case. Internal testing records show 50 tests passed with zero failures, and the company plans to launch a limited live pilot within 90 days following completion of an independent security audit and other conditions, targeting the first quarter of 2027. The reference implementation includes the Node.js core protocol logic, 50 automated test cases with expected outputs, schema and API documentation, and a browser-based demo using synthetic data. The company also noted that RWAIX has not yet been integrated into a production environment and timelines remain subject to change. The existing digital art platform is operated by its wholly owned Hong Kong subsidiary, Metaverse Digital Payment Co., Limited. The pilot will initially upgrade the consent-to-purchase, delivery, independent verification, payment, and dispute resolution process for one existing NFT order using existing banking channels. CEO Yanying Wang stated that the company already has customers, orders, and payments, and over the next 90 days aims to validate whether the protocol can be applied to real customer orders.
NFT Limited open-sources the RWAIX protocol and plans a Q1 2027 pilot.
