Citing Odaily, Naver is expected to confirm its acquisition plan of Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, during a board meeting next week. According to sources, the board meeting is scheduled for November 26, where details of the acquisition will be finalized. Naver plans to use its fintech subsidiary, Naver Financial, to execute a full stock swap, making Dunamu a wholly-owned subsidiary as part of its expansion in the digital finance sector.
