AIMPACT message, April 8 (UTC+8): Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and xAI, posted on X that SpaceX's supercomputing cluster Colossus 2 is currently training seven models simultaneously:
1. Imagine V2, the next-generation image and video generation model
2. 1 trillion parameter model, 2 variants
3. 1.5 trillion parameter model, 2 variants
4.6 trillion parameter model
5. 10 trillion parameter model
He added a comment: “There’s still some catching up to do.” Prior media reports indicated that xAI’s next flagship model, Grok 5, would have approximately 6 trillion parameters, which aligns with the 6T listed here. A 10-trillion-parameter model has not been publicly reported before.
Elon Musk referred to the merged entity of SpaceX and xAI as "SpaceXAI" in his post. The two companies completed their merger in February this year, with a combined valuation of approximately $1.25 trillion. Colossus 2, launched on January 17, is the world's first gigawatt-scale AI training cluster and is scheduled to be upgraded to 1.5GW this month.(Source: X platform)
