TA for crypto suggests mixed signals ahead.

MSTR stock has fallen by 4.34% to $93.32 after Strategy sold roughly $105 million of Bitcoin, raised new cash through common stock sales, and increased its USD reserve to $4 billion.

Strategy Sells Bitcoin and Raises Cash

Strategy sold 1,638 Bitcoin last week for about $104.73 million, reducing total holdings to 842,138 BTC. Some market updates placed the sale at 1,637 BTC, but the reported remaining balance stayed at 842,138 BTC.

The company’s Bitcoin holdings were acquired for about $63.51 billion at an average price of $75,419 per coin. The sale came after Strategy reported a large second-quarter loss tied to digital asset fair-value changes.

Strategy also raised $290.6 million through sales of 3.01 million MSTR shares. The company lifted its USD reserve by $250 million, bringing the total reserve to $4 billion.

The reserve supports preferred stock dividends, interest payments, and wider capital management needs. Strategy has been shifting more attention toward liquidity after Bitcoin’s decline pressured its balance sheet.

STRC Buyback Takes Focus

Strategy repurchased 912,143 shares of its high-yielding STRC preferred stock for $81.2 million. The move followed recent analyst comments that management is focusing on returning STRC toward par value.

The company said over the weekend that STRC’s annual dividend rate will remain at 12%. Strategy added that it does not plan to recommend a reduction until the shares trade consistently near their stated $100 value.

The STRC buyback came as Strategy continued managing capital across Bitcoin, common stock, and preferred securities. The company has separate buyback programs for common stock and digital credit securities.

The latest transaction shows that new capital is no longer directed only toward Bitcoin purchases. Strategy has said future capital raises may be split between BTC and USD reserves based on market conditions.

MSTR Stock Holds Above Intraday Support

MicroStrategy stock fell 4.34% during the latest session and closed near $93.32. The stock recovered from below $90.50 before retreating after approaching $95.41.

MSTR remained above the $92.95 intraday level near the close. Traders watched whether the stock could hold that area after the Bitcoin sale and capital update.

The company’s second-quarter results remain a key concern for investors. Strategy reported an $8.22 billion net loss, driven largely by an $8.32 billion unrealized loss on digital assets.

Strategy’s Bitcoin position remains far larger than its recent sales. The company has bought more Bitcoin than it has sold this year, even after trimming 3,620 BTC year to date.
