According to Morgan Stanley’s Greater China Semiconductor Report dated July 31, the AI semiconductor sector remains in a period of high demand, with demand expanding from GPUs to advanced nodes, advanced packaging, memory, test equipment, ASICs, and China’s AI chip supply chain.
The report estimates that the cloud AI semiconductor market could reach $485 billion by 2026 and expand further to approximately $753 billion by 2030; the global semiconductor market is expected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2030.
Morgan Stanley estimates that, according to its cloud capital expenditure tracking model, the global top 14 public cloud providers could spend nearly $1.3 trillion on cloud capex by 2027, excluding sovereign AI projects.
