ChainCatcher report: Morgan Stanley replaced Goldman Sachs as one of the top three underwriters for Asian equity issuances last month, excluding Japan. Year-to-date, total issuance in this market has increased by 55% compared to the same period last year. According to compiled data, companies raised $162 billion through equity issuances in July, up from $104.8 billion during the same period last year. Morgan Stanley’s market share rose to 6.07%, surpassing Goldman Sachs’ 5.62%; China International Capital Corporation held the top position with a 13.1% share. CXMT’s $9.84 billion fundraising in July was the largest equity offering of the month.

Year-to-date, total issuance in the region rose 55%, with $162 billion raised just in July. CICC led with a 13.1% share, while ChangXin Memory’s $9.84 billion offering was the largest of the month.
