Moonbirds announced Nesting 2.0 on January 28, 2026, delivering NFT news for holders of Moonbirds, Mythics, and Oddities. With the new design, staked NFTs will earn birb tokens over a 24-month period, supporting the growth of the ecosystem. During the incubation period, users will receive a soulbound birb NFT, and monthly claims will begin next month. Partially incubated NFTs will receive a proportional share, and any NFT held for the first 7 days will count as one full month.

BlockBeats news: On January 28, Moonbirds announced the launch of Nesting 2.0. Holders of Moonbirds, Mythics, and Oddities NFTs can now obtain birb tokens through a new design mechanism, aiming to align holders with the long-term growth of the ecosystem.

After depositing an NFT into the Nesting protocol, you will receive a soulbound birb NFT, which will no longer be available for trading on the market during its "incubation" period. Starting from the 28th of next month, over the next 24 months, each NFT that has been nested will be able to claim 1/24 of its allocated amount. If the NFT has only partially incubated before the 28th of the month, you will receive a proportional share based on the time incubated. All NFTs that have incubated for the first 7 days will be considered as having fully incubated for an entire month.
