MiniMax has launched MMX-CLI, a full-modal CLI tool for AI agents, providing seamless access to its AI models through command execution. Built on MetaEra, the tool supports agent environments such as Claude Code and OpenClaw. Features include output isolation, semantic exit codes, and async task control for automation. This update brings fresh AI and crypto news as developers seek improved integration tools. The tool is optimized for stability and convenience in agent workflows.

ME News reports that on April 9 (UTC+8), MiniMax launched a new product, MMX-CLI—a multimodal command-line tool designed specifically for AI agents, enabling seamless and reliable access to MiniMax’s suite of AI capabilities. The product is designed to allow agents to invoke MiniMax’s functionalities in the most natural way—by executing commands and receiving results—thereby enabling complex automated workflows within agent environments such as Claude Code and OpenClaw. MMX-CLI integrates MiniMax’s full multimodal model capabilities, allowing agents to access them directly via the command line. To address common issues faced by traditional command-line tools in agent automation environments, MMX-CLI incorporates three key design features: · Output isolation and pure data mode: Human-friendly progress indicators are routed to stderr, while stdout delivers only clean file paths or JSON data, preventing interference with agent parsing. · Semantic exit codes: Distinct exit codes are assigned for different failure types—such as authentication failures or invalid parameters—enabling agents to identify error types and determine whether to retry, without parsing text. · Non-blocking and asynchronous task control: The tool immediately errors out on missing parameters to prevent task hangs; it also supports an --async flag for asynchronous mode, allowing agents to submit long-running tasks and concurrently process other operations.
