The company, led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, purchased 24,869 bitcoins at an average price of $80,985 per coin.

Purchases over the past week occurred as Bitcoin prices were at multi-month highs. In recent days, Bitcoin prices have dropped to $77,000 amid a sell-off in risk assets such as cryptocurrencies.

However, this latest acquisition brings Strategy’s total holdings of Bitcoin to 843,738 coins, with a total purchase price of $64 billion.

According to the company's latest regulatory filing, its current average cost is $75,700 per bitcoin.

The strategy's acquisitions over the past week were almost entirely funded by the sale of high-yield preferred shares of the company (NASDAQ ticker: $STRC).

Celer stated in a recent interview that he believes the crypto winter, which began in October last year, has ended, and that Bitcoin's worst period is behind it.
