IT之家 reports the following progress on Windows 11 improvements:
1. New Windows Search Experience Extension (Experimental, Experimental 26H1 Channel)
Microsoft began rolling out a new Windows search experience earlier this month, and this update further enhances its capabilities, allowing users to perform more actions directly from the search bar:

- Inline actions: Users can directly adjust volume, screen brightness, or cursor size within search results using an inline slider. Labels are clearer, and the system recommends additional actionable options to help users discover more features.
- Phone Link integration: After connecting a supported phone via Phone Link, users can directly make calls to contacts or send text messages through Windows Search, as well as enable Do Not Disturb and other phone functions; currently supported on Android devices, with iPhone support coming in early next year.
- Richer search results: Preview files and view detailed information such as the last modified date, storage location, and author; directly obtain web answers for weather, stock, and general knowledge queries; and discover apps and games in the Microsoft Store. Similar to web results, Store app results can be manually enabled or disabled in “Settings > Privacy and Security > Search.”
- Filter results: Scroll to view more results and filter by categories such as "Files and Folders," "Settings," and "Actions" to quickly locate what you need.
- Feedback controls: Users can right-click any search result or recommendation to like or dislike, providing feedback on whether the content is useful. Users can also remove unwanted items from the initial search view before typing. Microsoft has made minor optimizations to the appearance and interaction details of Windows Search based on user feedback.
Note that the new Windows Search opens centered at the bottom of the screen by default; Microsoft is currently developing adaptations for different taskbar positions and search invocation scenarios from the Start menu.

2. Commercial Customer Feedback on New Privacy Policy
Microsoft has simultaneously launched a new Intune policy available to enterprise business customers. Once enabled, all feedback submitted by users within the enterprise tenant through the Feedback Hub will remain private, not published to public communities or shared with users outside the organization; only Microsoft and users within the same tenant can access the feedback content.
