IT Home, November 4 — On November 3 local time, Microsoft unveiled a special edition Xbox Series X console named Xbox Series X-BITE and announced it would be given away for free via a lottery.

This console features a custom 5-foot (approximately 1.52-meter) crocodile-shaped shell housing a fully functional Xbox Series X, with design elements incorporating crocodile motifs, the Xbox logo, and game controllers.

According to the images released by Microsoft, the crocodile’s body features a squared, raised design, with the Xbox Series X console embedded within its abdomen. When the console is powered on, the specially colored Xbox logo becomes visible through the square area on its body. IT Home notes that the crocodile’s eyes also feature Xbox green irises and pupils inspired by the Xbox Nexus button.
In addition, this special edition device comes with a custom Xbox controller placed inside the open mouth of a crocodile, with the controller’s surface featuring marks resembling bite marks from the crocodile.
Microsoft stated that the design of this product is fundamentally different from previous special-edition consoles. The crocodile-shaped console was crafted by the professional team at John Nolan Studio, involving 3D modeling, sculpting, and physical fabrication. The studio previously contributed to the creature design and mechanical animation for The Witcher series, Jurassic World 3, and HBO’s upcoming series Harry Potter. The production team specifically emphasized that no real crocodiles were harmed during the entire project.
Microsoft has not explicitly stated whether this "Crocodile" console is related to Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). However, the company's promotional materials mention that Xbox will be heading to Florida this November, using the state's wildlife and unique landscapes as a thematic focus.
The story of "GTA 6" is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by the U.S. state of Florida, and confirmed wildlife in the game includes alligators. Although Sony PlayStation is an official marketing partner for "GTA 6," Microsoft's promotional campaign did not directly mention the game; however, the alligator design and Florida-themed elements have sparked speculation about a potential connection between the two.
