The company forecasts revenue of $50 billion for the fourth fiscal quarter, compared to market expectations of $42.915 billion.


Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron, said: “Micron’s record-breaking financial performance for the third fiscal quarter, along with an even stronger outlook for the fourth fiscal quarter, reflects the strategic value of memory chips in the AI era. We believe that our years of strategic customer agreements will significantly enhance the durability and predictability of Micron’s strong financial performance.”


Micron's third-quarter financial report showed that the company earned $28.24 billion, or $24.67 per share, compared to a profit of $1.89 billion, or $1.68 per share, in the same period last year. Excluding certain one-time items, Micron reported adjusted earnings per share of $25.11, surpassing analysts' previous expectation of $20.86 per share.


Driven by stronger-than-expected quarterly revenue and revenue guidance, Micron surged 15.95% in after-hours trading on U.S. markets as of press time, lifting other memory stocks as well: Seagate (STX) rose 10.21%, Western Digital (WDC) gained 12.31%, and SanDisk (SNDK) climbed 15.77%.
