mF International will shut down its traditional financial trading business and fully transition to a digital assets strategy.
This strategic decision enables the company to focus entirely on its rapidly growing, digital asset-centric business model.
mF International states that, as of October 15, 2026, the company holds 678,922 Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Hong Kong, October 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- mF International Limited (Nasdaq: MFI, referred to as "mF International" or the "Company") today announced that its board of directors has approved the phased shutdown and dissolution of its traditional financial trading solutions business. The Company stated that, following the completion of the shutdown, it will focus all future efforts and resources on developing its Bitcoin Cash (BCH) digital asset reserves, proprietary mining operations, and other digital asset businesses.
The company stated that this decision follows a series of initiatives undertaken since early 2026 to build its digital assets business, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of mF International’s business model. Notable digital assets initiatives include the company’s development of self-operated BCH mining capacity and its ongoing application for a Class I Insurance License from the Bermuda Monetary Authority to support the future launch of life insurance products denominated in digital assets. The company noted that as its digital assets business becomes increasingly established and important, management believes that prioritizing the growth of these initiatives is the most effective way to drive long-term growth.
The company stated that its proprietary BCH mining operations continue to grow. Between July 30, 2026, and September 30, 2026, the company mined a total of 2,265.42 BCH. As of October 15, 2026, the company held 678,922 BCH, representing approximately 3.23% of the total supply.
Closing the traditional financial transactions solutions business will involve the deregistration of m-Finance Limited and its two subsidiaries, Omegatraders Systems Limited and m-Finance Trading Technologies Limited (collectively, the "Traditional Business Companies"), and the disposal of their remaining assets. The company expects to complete the sale of these remaining traditional fixed assets and domain names by the end of October 2026. Asset disposals, liquidation expenses, and final tax liabilities will be reflected in the final audited financial statements of these three companies as of December 15, 2026, after which no further changes will be made to their accounting records. mF International states that the full financial impact of these matters will be reflected in the audited consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.
Dawei Yuan, Chairman and CEO of mF International, said: “The decision to shut down our traditional financial trading business is a prudent one, made in the context of our digital asset business having been established and growing in strategic importance to the company. By focusing our attention and resources on our digital asset strategy, we expect to be better positioned to expand our BCH self-mining operations, increase our BCH reserves, and advance our planned digital asset-denominated life insurance product. This decision reflects the direction we have been pursuing since early 2026, and we believe it will set the company on a clearer, more focused path forward. As we continue to transform mF International into a native digital asset company, we look forward to updating shareholders on our progress.”
The company stated that it will continue to update its BCH holdings, mining operations, and new business developments through its official website at https://mfi.ltd and its investor relations site at https://ir.mfi.ltd.
