According to an official announcement, Metaplanet Inc. (TSE Standard 3350), along with its subsidiary Metaplanet Securities (formerly Siiibo Securities, to be renamed on July 13), stablecoin company JPYC Inc., and security token infrastructure provider Progmat, Inc., have launched a joint research initiative in the digital credit space, codenamed Project NOVA. The research will cover digital corporate bonds and other credit instruments, with key focus areas including: using Bitcoin as collateral to enhance creditworthiness, leveraging security tokens for rights and holder management, enabling on-chain interest payments and principal repayments via stablecoins such as JPYC, and exploring the feasibility of 24/7/365 settlement and daily pro-rata interest accrual.
