Mastercard Chooses Polygon for Verified Username Transfers

As per TechFlow, on November 18, Mastercard announced it has selected Polygon to support its new system that allows users to send cryptocurrency by verifying usernames instead of long wallet addresses. Polygon will process these transactions at high speed and low cost. Mastercard's Blockchain and Digital Assets Executive Vice President Raj Dhamodharan stated that by simplifying wallet addresses and adding meaningful verification, the credential system is building trust for digital token transfers and making digital assets more accessible.
