The stolen funds were subsequently laundered and used to purchase millions of dollars worth of rare Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, as well as a fragment of original fabric from the Wright brothers’ aircraft that had traveled to the lunar surface during the Apollo moon mission. Spalletta faces charges of computer fraud (up to 10 years) and money laundering (up to 20 years), with a combined maximum sentence of 30 years.
