BlockBeats report: On August 11, Manus announced that the company will soon resume independent operations. To complete this transition and comply with regulatory requirements in certain jurisdictions, affected users must back up their data by 7:59 AM Singapore Time on August 23, and restore their data starting at 8:00 AM on August 25 to ensure continued normal usage. Manus stated that affected users will be notified via email and in-app alerts; users who registered with Apple ID or Facebook accounts should pay special attention to in-app notifications. Affected users may perform multiple backups before August 23 and can continue creating new data after the first backup, followed by additional backups. Starting at 8:00 AM on August 25, the data restoration portal will open, allowing users to resume using their previous data after restoration. During the transition period, affected users will not incur any fees, and Manus will also provide rewards.
For users unaffected by this adjustment, no action is required—they can continue using Manus as normal, and the system will confirm via in-app notifications that their accounts are unaffected. Manus acknowledges that this adjustment may cause inconvenience to affected users and has provided detailed operational guidelines in the Help Center, while its customer support team remains available 24/7. Manus is also preparing a series of new features designed to further expand the capabilities of general-purpose AI agents and expresses strong optimism about its future prospects following the restoration of independent operations.
