ChainThink reports that on August 12, according to the company's financial report, U.S. listed optical communications leader Lumentum announced its fourth-quarter fiscal year 2026 results, with revenue of $1.01 billion, up 109.3% year-over-year;
Adjusted earnings per share were $3.23, above the market estimate of $2.97; adjusted gross margin was 50.4%, above the expected 48.8%.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Lumentum reported net revenue of $3.01 billion, a net loss of $6.9 billion under GAAP, or a diluted loss per share of $92.96.
The company stated that the GAAP net loss was primarily due to the conversion of certain convertible bonds in the fourth quarter, resulting in a one-time non-cash debt extinguishment loss of $7.8 billion.
On a non-GAAP basis, Lumentum's net income for fiscal year 2026 was $782.3 million, or $8.67 in diluted earnings per share.
As of the end of the fourth quarter, the company held a total of $2.7 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments, an increase of $1.9 billion from the end of fiscal year 2025. According to market data, Lumentum closed up 0.87% and rose an additional 2.2% in after-hours trading.
