PANews, September 18: According to a security incident update released by Liquid Network early this morning, since resuming operations on September 10, block production on the Liquid Network and on-chain transfers, including LBTC, have been functioning normally. However, peg-out redemption operations remain suspended, with the team actively collaborating with consortium members and partners to implement a secure recovery plan. Of the approximately 4,000 BTC withdrawn during the incident, around 3,400 BTC have been recovered to the consortium reserves, while approximately 600 BTC remain unaccounted for. The official statement confirms that peg-out redemptions will only be restarted after confirming that LBTC has fully restored its 1:1 BTC peg, completing all relevant software updates, testing, and independent security audits. A detailed plan and timeline will be announced separately.
Liquid Network reports normal block production and transfers; BTC peg-out redemptions remain paused.
